Ladybug and Cat Noir: The Movie Review

When a ruthless villain steals two magical jewels that have extraordinary powers, they turn an awkward girl and her crush into superheroes. But juggling school, homework, bullies and their own relationship, Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste struggle to keep it all together. When a mysterious evil threatens the city, it’s up to them to save Paris with the help of their heroic alter egos, Cat Noir and Ladybug.

The movie starts out with the origin story of the characters, explaining how they got their powers. They were given jewelry by an old man they helped, which then gave them the power to transform. While they were transforming, the jewelry also changed the people around them, giving them superhuman powers. They then ran into each other and became a team, and they have been battling the akumatized villains ever since.

They have had their own relationships and conflicts, but they have always fought together to defeat the villains and protect the city. They have even been a couple at times, but they keep their identities secret. The movie also makes it clear that Chat Noir is adamant about his feelings for Ladybug and will do anything to protect her, despite her not reciprocating them.

Throughout the movie, the heroes are faced with new challenges that make them question whether they can be the good guys. They also face some issues with their civilian identities, which makes them rethink what they want to do with their lives. The characters in the movie are a little older than their TV series counterparts. They are both 16 in the film, whereas they were 13 in the show. The movie also makes more references to other teenage activities like playing the recorder and gymnastics, whereas the show never addressed those topics.
