Miraculous Ladybug Episodes You Should Watch

Whether you’re a newbie to the series or have been watching since the beginning, there are a few episodes that every Miraculous Ladybug fan should watch. These are some of the best of all time, ranging from revealing new aspects about the show’s universe to setting major romantic milestones for Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien.

In “Risk,” Shadow Moth realizes that he has to push Ladybug and everyone around her out of their comfort zones in order to defeat them, so he akumatizes a villain called Risk and forces everyone to start taking risks they wouldn’t normally take. It’s one of the most important episodes in the whole series because it makes Ladybug have to come up with a completely different plan of attack instead of just sticking to her old tried and true methods. This is also where we see that even the most well-trained and experienced superheroes can fall victim to a single bad luck.

This episode is one of the first times that the show really reveals how much stress keeping her superhero identity a secret is affecting Marinette. It’s a big reason why this episode ranks so high on our list of best Miraculous Ladybug episodes. Marinette is at the bakery where she works when she hears that Ladybug is fighting Mayura at Arc de Triomphe, and she decides to enlist her father Tom to help her with the baking. However, he accidentally reveals her secret to Alya, who then uses the Eiffel Tower keychain that he gave her to control her kwami.

The first recurring character to be introduced on the series, Adrien’s tarot cat, Chloe, is a love interest for both Adrien and Ladybug. She’s a bit of a wild card who doesn’t quite fit in with the rest of the cast, but that’s what makes her so interesting. She’s a constant source of humor and she helps bring some freshness to the largely stagnant world of Miraculous Ladybug.

One of the most popular episodes in the entire series, this one introduces some more of the backstory behind Master Wang and the creation of Ladybug and Cat Noir. It’s also where we see Marinette and Adrien’s will they or won’t they relationship reach a major turning point.

Probably the most important and exciting episode of all time, this one is where we learn that there’s another weakness to the magic ladybug powers. It turns out that if the Peacock Miraculous brooch is revoked, there won’t be any remains of the sentimonster to revive.

This isn’t the best episode of the season, but it was pretty groundbreaking for “Miraculous Ladybug.” While most episodes stick to a formula that’s familiar to fans, when an episode takes a surprising turn and feels totally unique, it’s always a treat. It’s also where we see the return of Dark Cupid and get to see that Marinette is still crushing hard on Adrien, even though he doesn’t reciprocate her feelings.
