Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir – Ladybug Kissing Cat Noir

Since 2015, the popular French cartoon series Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir has captivated viewers with its action-packed animation, romantic comedy, and heartfelt drama. The show follows a shy girl with clumsy tendencies who dons a superhero costume and flings herself into battle alongside her classmate crush. When she discovers that her powerful alter egos are stronger when they work together, Marinette and Adrien team up to fight crime and reclaim Paris from the evil villain Hawkmoth. While the show has had a huge fan base all over the world, fans have been eager to see the characters brought to the big screen and this is finally happening. The film was released on Netflix on July 28 after debuting in France.

Although the movie is not entirely true to the show, many of the same core elements are still there. The story follows Marinette Dupain-Cheng (Cristina Vee Valenzuela), a socially awkward, clumsy high schooler who gets picked on by the popular and obnoxious Chloe Bourgeois and has an unrequited crush on her handsome classmate Adrien Agreste. After she saves a stranger, Wang Fu (Paul St Peter), from getting hit by a car, she is blessed by the guardian spirits of magical jewels called ‘Miraculous’ and her clumsiness turns into superpowers. Her alter ego is called Ladybug and she teams up with Adrien as the vigilantes Ladybug and Cat Noir to battle the villainous Hawkmoth.

During the premiere, fans got to see a few key moments from the film. The first one was when Marinette and Adrien realized their secret identities for the first time. The pair were kissing when a pink letter floated to their face and read, “Your hair is brilliant like the sun, your eyes are lucky green. You’re my Ladybug, and I’m Cat Noir.”

The two then started to fight the akuma, and even though they were constantly thrown around, they were not seriously injured because their bodies are protected by magical cloaks that absorb physical damage. They also have the power to regenerate their limbs in seconds. They also have a special ability to make each other laugh in order to defuse conflict.

Another key moment from the premiere was when Adrien reveals to Marinette that he doesn’t like signing autographs and he didn’t sign his name on her poster. This was the first time that Adrien mentioned this, so it’s possible that he may change his mind later on in the season.

In the final scene of the episode, a recording of the song “Loving You” was shown. It was a beautiful and heartwarming song that was performed by the band The Script. After the song ended, a trailer for the next episode was also played. This episode was titled Oblivio, and it will air on November 2024. The upcoming episode will see Marinette and Adrien wipe their memories of their encounter with the akuma and they will discover their identities for a brief period of time before forgetting them again.
