Queen Bee is a temperamental superhero who has a hard time using her powers for good. She has a great deal of self-discipline, but her temper can get the better of her sometimes. Fortunately, her Miraculous jewels and her kwami, Pollen, help her to transform into an excellent hero with a heart of gold.
Her character reveals a lot of flaws, but the fact that she uses her brain and is proactive in battle is an asset to her storyline. Her back-talking Mayura in “Miraculer” was a highlight, and her performance in Hero’s Day was also quite impressive.
She has a strong desire to be a hero, and she takes her quest seriously. This is reflected in her costume, which includes a yellow and black jumpsuit with hook & loop fasteners on the back. She also wears an eye mask and bee-shaped hair ornament that help her to look just like the real Queen Bee.
During the season 2 episode, “Malediktator,” Chloe becomes angry and vengeful after Hawk Moth steals her Miraculous, making her turn into Antibug. She believes that she is more exceptional than Ladybug and Cat Noir, so she wants to prove this by taking away their Miraculouses.
After a new Lady-Blog article puts Ladybug’s identity at risk, Chat Noir figures out who she is and together they devise a plan to keep Paris safe. Will handing out Miraculouses like candy be enough to keep her secret? Or will those who matter most discover secrets best kept secret?
When she’s not transforming into Ladybug, she’s in her civilian life as Chloe Bourgeois. She sports a yellow jacket with long sleeves and white buttons over a white and black-striped shirt, white jean capris, a faux diamond-studded belt, and white and black dress shoes. She also wears a black domino mask with a yellow streak at the top.
She is also a dancer, as seen in her dance routine in the episode “Stormy Weather 2.”
Her powers include enhanced strength, speed, stamina, durability, and combat abilities, as well as a yoyo that gives her extreme range and versatility. She can also yank the pull string on her spinning top to either ride it or let it pull her, giving her the ability to move quickly and reach her destination much faster than other Miraculous holders.
As an Antibug, she is still very vengeful and prideful towards Cat Noir and Ladybug, but this time she is resentful of them for not giving her the Bee Miraculous anymore. This resentment is made worse after her father’s akumatization, and she tries to bring Cat Noir down by taunting him about their teamwork.
She also loves to tease and taunt Cat Noir because she thinks that she is a weak hero without him. This resentment is further shown in the episode “Heart Hunter,” where she tries to convince Cat Noir that Ladybug has given up her Bee Miraculous to her.
